I woke up this morning with no great expectations of what my day would hold. I had no plans, no appointments and was not unhappy about what many would consider a boring day ahead. My day started like any other. Pain, pain meds, try and get out of bed, try again and again. Eventually grab … Continue reading My 2 Minutes Of Fame!

Hope, Faith And Our Need For Dreams To Come True
I can remember as clearly as if it was yesterday, sitting in the dining room of our family home, staring at the plaque on the wall. We’d had it for years and the words always provided me with a sense of comfort and security. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence … Continue reading Hope, Faith And Our Need For Dreams To Come True
A World Changing Course – Entering The Unknown
I wrote this last year and even though we are now heading into the COVID-19 vaccination stage of the global pandemic, the message and my musings here, are still relevant for today and for this year xx

Ultimately we are having to deal with change on a huge scale. Change causes fear and fear causes responses in ourselves and those around us, we might not expect, like or know how to handle.
Change causes grief and at the moment the World, its Leaders and society in general, is grappling with the various stages of grief.

Another Day, Another Diagnosis
"Something isn't right. This is a new pain, a new discomfort. I feel like something is stuck in the middle of my abdomen, just below my ribs......plus I look 6 months pregnant!" This is the conversation I had with my husband just over a week ago. He was so concerned by what he was witnessing … Continue reading Another Day, Another Diagnosis
Prayer, Patience Purpose and Pain
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12 v 12) Is it possible to have patience in the midst of affliction? No matter the cause of affliction, no one wants to stay in a state of pain or distress or turmoil. Our immediate response in any traumatic event is to want it over … Continue reading Prayer, Patience Purpose and Pain
Straight From My Heart
There are times I yearn to write but words fail me. Is it because I am overthinking? Is it because I'm too tired and in too much pain? Or is it because if I wrote what I needed to write, it may be too raw, too much for my readers and even too much for … Continue reading Straight From My Heart
My Mini Musings
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been reading and editing some of my older blog posts. I’m no where near finished but it’s been such a worthwhile exercise so far. I’ve enjoyed reliving my journey, and discovering how much my writing style has changed, since I started blogging over 6 years ago. I’ve also … Continue reading My Mini Musings
Facing An Uncertain New Year
One thing chronic illness guarantees is uncertainty. One thing a global pandemic, in the form of COVID-19, guarantees is uncertainty. No matter how much we might like to think we have things under control, our bodies, diseases, unexpected life events, loss of loved ones, always find a way of creating times of chaos, confusion, fear … Continue reading Facing An Uncertain New Year
