My Interview as a Guest on, “I Am Not My Pain Podcast” …..With Host Melissa Adams

I’m so excited to share with you my interview as a Guest on “I Am Not My Pain Podcast.

This is part one, of a two part interview. I was so honoured to be invited by Melissa to talk about my health story, my blog, my book, my forum and even more importantly, how I have found “Acceptance” and “Purpose”, with my chronic illness.

Here are the links to the Episode of Part One of my Interview. The first three links take you to the episode on Melissa’s Podcast:

The next link takes you to the interview on my Podcast, “Medical Musings With Sam”. This link has extra commentary from me and a sneak peak insight into what to expect next week, when part two of the interview is aired:

Next week Part Two of  my interview will be broadcast on the following date/time:

Aust EST: Tuesday Sept 27th @ 7pm

US Time: Tuesday 27th Sept @ 4am

UK Time: Tuesday 27th Sept @ 10am

I’m so excited to share both parts of my chat with Melissa with all of you. Melissa is an absolute delight and it was like talking with an old friend.

So How Did We Meet?

Melissa found me through “The Mighty”.

After reading my articles she extended an invitation via email to be interviewed on her Podcast. Her professionalism and warmth came through her email. I don’t often say yes to random emails sent to me, but this email seemed different.

I was still in a heavy rehab program after my recent hospital stay, due to being completely bedridden. So unfortunately I couldn’t say yes straight away.

Further delays in booking a date occurred due to my book being released. I still felt I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss the opportunity to make this happen. Melissa’s patience was just beautiful and further cemented my resolve to endorse her Podcast.

We eventually organised a Zoom catchup to discuss the interview, and I can honestly say I immediately felt I had found a new friend. We just clicked.

Meet Melissa

If you would like to know more about Melissa Adams, here’s a great article on her own chronic disease story and how she copes.
It really is an inspirational read.

Melissa Adams….A Journey to Empowerment

I hope you enjoy Part One of my interview, and I hope you’ll find Melissa’s Podcast is one that will be permanently on your Podcast listening app.
